Isolated Pipe in a Wall
Option 1: We Isolate the Leaking Pipe
In order make repairs without tearing up the floor we must find both ends of the leaking pipe above the concrete foundation, we call this step isolation. By Isolating the leaking pipe from the water system in your home we make available the repair options of ReRouting and Restoration. In this step we find both ends of the leaking pipe by cutting small openings in walls, or inside cabinets to expose the water pipe manifolds. When the manifolds are exposed the leaking pipe is cut apart, or isolated, from the system in order to make ready for the final repair.
Once the leaking pipe is isolated then you can choose between Option 2 and Option 3 for the final repair.

Option 2: Pipe Re-Route
With this option the leaking pipe under the floor is abandoned and replaced with a new pipe to connect the two points of the isolated pipe. The new pipe is installed through the walls and ceiling of your home requiring opening in walls and ceiling as needed. For short pipes this works great but can be very messy and expensive as the two points get farther apart in your home. For longer pipes our customers almost always consider Option 3.

Option 3: AirKote® Pipe Restoration
When this works we are heroes! By utilizing our patented single line restoration process we can restore your leaking copper water pipe in-place within your floor utilizing only the wall opening at each end of the pipe we have isolated. This repair eliminates the need for an invasive replacement of the pipe with a new one running through your home or jack hammering up your floor. When completed we provide you with a limited lifetime warranty on our lining work.

Option 4: Least Favorable Option: Direct Access
This is the insurance company term for jack hammering up the floor to make a spot repair on the leaking line. We do not recommend this repair because it is very disruptive, short lived and not allowed if you have a post tension foundation. It is also not practical if the leak is below walls, cabinetry or permanent plumbing fixtures.
Okay, so you don't like Option 1, then what???
At Pipeline Restoration we offer a full range of repair options including our signature single line epoxy restoration. We work hard to provide you with the best and most cost effective solution to your problem, give us a chance and we will make you a customer for life!
